s P L e e N C o F F i N was founded in Baltimore as a tiny music/art releasing entity in the summer of 2003 by a duo with a handful of tapes recorded in a kitchen and a flair for handmade art objects. The name derives from a surreal image drawn on a handmade get well card.

Over a decade later, s P L e e N C o F F i N is still in the business of releasing small-run tapes and records in recycled/handmade art, while also making
older releases freely available online.

s P L e e N C o F F i N distributes new recorded works by people who share our DIY aesthetic and appreciation for raw experimentation in diverse forms.
